Devil worship? Check. Corpse paint? Check. Pagan rituals? Check. Carpathian Forest were part of second wave of Norwegian black metal. Founded by the formidable duo Nordavind and Nattefrost, they are the personification of ‘true’ black metal according to the old-school Scandinavian tradition. Meanwhile frontman Nattefrost remains as the sole founding member but under his command Carpathian Forest have always stayed the course.
